The cast of The Diplomat did a For Your Consideration event, which brought Allison Janney — the vice president in that universe, and the president of ours, out of the woodwork at last. From left to right, we have: Rufus Sewell, Keri Russell, Ali Ahn, Allison Janney, and Ato Essandoh, and they all look pretty damn foxy — none more so, arguably, than Allison, who not only went with a perfect power color but threw in chunky-framed glasses in the IDEAL complementary shade for that fuchsia. Welcome to the party, milady. I hope we see more of you. I mean, where’s the 10 Things I Hate About You sequel that’s JUST about what happened to her guidance counselor character who was writing bodice-rippers?
