Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest is a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 film High and Low, and he’s assembled a cast including Denzel, Jeffrey Wright, Dean “Mayhem” Winters, Wendell Pierce, Ice Spice — her acting debut, though she skipped Cannes — and A$AP Rocky. Accordingly, Rihanna came to the screening through the back door and then exited in the rain alongside her man. Or, maybe she just showed up late because that’s how she rolls. We’ll never know.
