In the neverending march of awards season, this weekend’s offering is the BAFTAs, so it’s time for our traditional look back at what people wore to them a decade ago. Attendance was pretty lean in 2010; hopefully we’ll get a good turnout on Sunday. The BAFTAs are apparently asking people to either re-wear or choose something vintage, to promote sustainability; whether “archival” counts — so, from a fashion house’s more recent vault, perhaps among older but unworn gowns — I don’t know. It’s doubtful we’ll see any of these because the batch of nominees doesn’t include any similarities, but you never know. And if you’re curious who’s nominated, the monochromatic choices are:
