One of our photo services tends to have more enthusiastic Informative Captions than the other ones do — like, when this photo service is snarky about someone’s outfit, I worry about whoever’s on the captions desk there; they’re generally VERY chipper about whatever. That kind of peppiness is often a small bright spot in my day, an unexpected little zing. And in predictably cheery fashion, they called this look a “very stylish and fashion-forward outfit,” and…yeah, I do not think those are the words I would have used. I mean, “outfit” is accurate, and “and” is obviously useful, but the rest of those descriptors feel incredibly diplomatic.  That top is neither how scarves nor shirts work.
