In truth, I don’t know if this is a romper, or shorts under a blazer. It’s probably the latter. But the effect is of a romper, and I’m still astonished that I don’t even care. Oh, sure, the raw threads hanging from the shorts are a grievance — how do they not tickle? — but the jacket and the necklace and her LIPSTICK! Her face! They are joy and they are, as The Cars once crooned, just what I needed.
