Wow, just the other day we mentioned the rapid decline and disappearance of Calvin Klein — in the context of where Pierpaolo Piccioli might go next — and lo and behold, here is some custom Calvin on the body of arguably the most coveted celebrity client of the moment. Zendaya is at the Rome premiere, and earlier, for the photocall, she returned to some tennis-inspired Loewe complete with VERY literal but adorable shoes. I cannot imagine they are thrilled with Dune 2 and Sexy Tennis being right on top of each other; all things considered, I think they’re doing okay — although I admit I am also relieved that Mugler doesn’t have any archival tennis racket costumes in the vault, or clothes made of Roland-Garros clay dust, because I wouldn’t trust them to resist.
