The match slate yesterday included Djokovic beating Holger Rune, Danielle Collins losing to Barbora Krejcikova, and Taylor Fritz blessedly knocking off Alexander Zverev — and indirectly incurring his wrath. I guess in their convo at the net, Zverev let him know that while he is fine with Fritz, he was displeased with how the “non-tennis” people in the box behaved — namely, Fritz’s girlfriend, who filmed parts of the match for Instagram with captions like “cheer hard, ladies,” and “when ur man wins 4 the girls.” He also apparently thought she, or someone, was cheering for his leg bothering him? I’m not about rooting for someone to be hurt, but I AM all about Fritz winning that one for the ladies.
