In full disclosure, she IS at this event in a professional capacity. Per Informative Caption, Gwendoline Christie “joins St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in celebrating the St. Regis British Open for The Cowdray Gold Cup Polo Final at Cowdray Park Polo Club.” First, that sentence has a LOT of proper nouns. Second, I think she looks fantastic here; I appreciate that she generally styles herself in a more editorial and/or moderately kookier fashion and I wouldn’t want to move away from that. But this is a peaceful and soothing detour into something a little more buttoned-down and a change can be pleasant every now and then. She looks like the absolutely most successful and classiest realtor on a London-based version of Selling Sunset, except not the one The Guardian called “the most hateable TV show ever made.” A different one, specializing primarily in real-estate-based competence porn and, clearly, well-made suits.
