Amy Odell’s Back Row this week expressed that it was kind of a bummer to see so much brown in this show, and I tend to agree that Versace usually feels a little…livelier than this? Perhaps by “lively,” I mean “sexy.” This feels sort of unlike traditional Versace — with a few obvious exceptions — to the point where I started thinking, “wait, did Donatella step down and I forgot?” She did not. She just is REALLY into rickrack right now.
