If this sweater were proportioned normally, and tucked in or just cut to suit the trousers, I could get with this nice monochromatic winter green situation. Yes, slacks in that material are as likely to wear well as linen — truly, the silent accordion of summer fabrics — but it would feel polished and posh. THIS sweater, though, looks like someone knit it, then hung five-pound weights from each sleeve. Cozy is great for the winter doldrums, but I’m going to pass on a cropped, soft sartorial frown.
