There Was a Lot of Leopard Print at the Premiere of In The Heights!

I haven’t seen In The Heights yet — I can’t wait! — and I’m not familiar with the musical, so I am asking this sincerely: Is leopard print a plot point? Or are people just feeling it? (I’m always feeling an animal print.)
