I saw a lot of ads for Fight Night on Peacock during the Olympics, and it looks fun, although I thought it was a movie when it is actually an 8-part limited series, apparently based on a popular podcast of the same name, which I cannot believe I missed, because I love this stuff. Per the Washington Post:
“Fight Night” …follows a small-time Atlanta hustler nicknamed Chicken Man (played by Kevin Hart) who wants to be more than a numbers runner. So he plans a Vegas-style shindig for the big-time Black gangsters coming to town for the 1970 Muhammad Ali comeback match against Jerry Quarry. But there is no honor among thieves. The party gets hijacked and robbed by a criminal A-team, the big bosses get their bloody revenge, and Atlanta eventually gets put on the map.

Taraji is ABSOLUTELY dressed for a party, but more than anything else, I want to know what brand of double-sided tape she went with tonight. Now is not the time to try out a new sticky solution, you want your tried-and-true, no-fail option. Stop the gate-keeping!
