I didn’t realize Neve Campbell has been in all the Scream movies except for the sixth one; I thought it was a big deal she was returning for this one. At any rate, this one seems to be more about her character, Sidney Prescott, and is written and directed by Kevin Williamson, who wrote 1, 2, and 4. (And Dawson’s Creek, by the by.) I have no idea if this is meant to be the final installment, but even if so, I mean… nothing is ever really over anymore. Every franchise is just Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald in her coffin, slowly being pushed closer to being burned alive, until after three weeks of episodes someone finally notices she’s in there and pulls her out.
