Monse used to do fairly outlandish deconstructed menswear, but at least it seemed clear-eyed about that. Now, it comes off a bit more like a diluted and confusing pastiche of that, Miu Miu, maybe a little Loewe, and some of the striped knits that DKNY used to produce. The designers are busy with Oscar de la Renta, and maybe it shows?
