I was going to put this up to a vote, but then I was like, “you know what, Jessica? Have the courage of your convictions on this one,” and my conviction is that I’d bet $10 this was not her stylist’s number one choice for the evening:

I mean, maybe it was! What do I know? But for one thing, the hem is falling out. For another, I can’t help but imagine that someone, at some point, said something like, “maybe we do color? What do you think?” It’s just so austere, and I don’t think it’s doing her any favors. It’s hard to pull off an austere, colorless dress and a pixie haircut and not look a least a little bit like you’re three weeks from finally taking the veil and biding society farewell for a life of quiet reflection and obedience. Which perhaps is what is happening, but the People’s Choice Awards is a weird place to announce it.
