# No One Really Knows What Vogue World IS  But Here Are The Red Carpet Highlights

Vogue itself says this event is a "fashion and performance extravaganza...The 2024 edition of Vogue World promised a rollicking stylish and energetic good time; conceived in collaboration with youth athletic academies throughout France and inspired by the history of sports and fashion." I guess it's basically a Mega Event Fashion Show; [Amy Odell's Substack, Back Row, defined it](https://amyodell.substack.com/p/well-now-we-know-what-vogue-world?) back in 2022 as "a fashion show *as entertainment for the general public,* versus most fashion shows that are tailored to an industry audience with garnishes of social media catnip." I think *Vogue* needs to work on its messaging around this event still, but from what I can tell, this one was in Paris and had models pretending to fence. Fun! Let's look at the celebs who came out to gawk. (I feel like a lot of them just happened to be in Paris already.)
