Nine Perfect Strangers was not a book that cried out for a sequel — and frankly, I have no idea if the series did, because I forgot to finish it. I do remember Melissa McCarthy being the best part of it, but can I really jump back in four years later just to watch the finale? Especially when she does not appear to be the character that carried over? I decided not to, so I read the Wikipedia synopsis, and it’s so stilted that I wonder if THAT person never actually watched it EITHER. Maybe Hulu hopes this will be its White Lotus, with Nicole Kidman’s Masha messing with a whole new group of people in different glamorous locations. I will accept it if it ends in a crossover.
