Nicki has a new album out — Vulture’s Craig Jenkins calls it “perfectly fine” in an excellent piece that also elucidates what else Nicki has been up to lately; she’s been busy — and I assume she’s popping over to Colbert to promote it. I also assume this means we may see her at the VMAs doing promotion on Monday; I always welcome Minaj at a red carpet event, because she’ll either show up with a fake pontiff as an accessory, or she’ll look great, and either is fun. This isn’t a red carpet, and she’s pope-less as far as I know (maybe he’s waiting in the car), but she does look GREAT in this. It’s so perfectly Formal 90s Goth Barbie, and I love it.
