And it's a BIT where the theme breaks down for me, because it's so twee. She is 20 and Rue was 12; I think they could have found a slightly more mature way to evoke it, although the shoes are amazing.

I thought she was Sydney Sweeney for a second. No idea if that's a connection she would welcome. Anyway, I'm grasping at straws with the dress itself – it's a little "Oom Pah Pah" for the context of her movie – but ladybugs (as seen in her hair) appear in *Sunrise on the Reaping*, both in a nursery rhyme...

... and one context is as mutated ladybug "mutts" in Haymitch's arena, and so she dressed up her "mutt" in ladybugs. It also contextualizes the scarf.

*WWD* says this just references the outlandish Capitol interview sets. Honestly, I bet they just thought it was cute and sparkly, and more to the point perhaps, *available*. I can't decide if it's GREAT or just slightly off. Both?
