Remember walking around in a cute print dress and a jacket? I mean, people are still doing it — as we see here! — but, like, it just used to hit differently. Like, you could wander into Target in this and aimlessly look at a bunch of seasonal wreaths before wandering over to the clothing section to grab a $4.99 cardigan on clearance and then spend forty-five minutes picking out some greeting cards, in case you turn into a card person. At no point in doing this, probably, did you worry about catching a potentially fatal virus. It was a time, we didn’t even know it. Hopefully, we’re on the way back there. I’ve got a patterned dress AND a moto jacket that haven’t seen Target’s Gummy Vitamin end-cap in a year.
