Hailee wore fire to the Sinners premiere, and now ice at the afterparty. This is a perfectly nice dress, and way easier to wrangle at a club than the filmy flame train of her Robert Wun, so changing made sense. It fits and I like it. No complaints. But it underscores my other big question, which is: Why not pick something looser and more comfortable? If I were flarging around with some cocktails and passed apps after wearing something fancy for a few hours in a movie theater, I’d want to change into something more elastic. I’m not saying she needs to go full athleisure, but there is lot of acreage in between. What is your ideal afterparty outfit? My real answer is probably, “Sweatpants, because the afterparty is at my house and it’s just me and some coconut water and a Ghosts marathon,” but if I were Hailee I’d probably at LEAST find a great caftan.
