I’m not sure where or how this cover appears in the actual magazine — a fold-out? Just a digital exercise? But it’s a wonderful photo that I thought was worth sharing, based on this iconic Ormond Gigli picture from the sixties.

Weirdly, the first thing I thought of when I saw the Gigli shot was the opening credits of The Muppet Show. I am not sure whether he’d be flattered by that or not. Anyway, this updated one is gorgeous work. The pandemic is twisting and warping so much of the world, but at least creativity and art live on, in whatever way we can summon them.
