I was going to say this is a surprisingly small group of first-timers, but actually, a) the Golden Globes are a big enough event — and a long-enough running one — that it’s probably NOT actually that much of a shock, and b) I don’t think they’re all here. For example, Teyana Taylor, Jacob Elordi, Erin Doherty, and Aimee Lou Wood were not present. However, looking into this is how I learned Parker Posey HAS been nominated before: for Hell On Heels: The Battle of Mary Kay, a batshit-seeming TV movie about Mary Kay (Shirley Maclaine) trying to defend her cosmetics empire against a challenger named Jinger Heath (Posey), with… wait for it… Shannen Doherty as the “off-center beauty” somehow caught in the middle. Say it with me: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
