Let’s start with the one I know that I don’t like:
She looks like a drunken hammock.
But she changed into this for the post-parties; her red-carpet gown was much larger and more dramatic:
I really went back and forth on this. Right NOW, I am leaning toward a fondness. The cut reminds me of Julianne Moore’s yellow thing from the Emmys, with the skirt sitting right up under the chest — not generally something I love, and on Taylor, the black piece might be sitting a touch too low. But it DOES fit her well, and the back is cool.
When Kelly Osbourne did that obnoxious thing where she announces she got a text message from her celebrity bestie(s) and that Taylor would be wearing red, it didn’t feel very revolutionary, especially because she just wore that color in impressive fashion at the CMAs. But this didn’t feel samey, in the end, and despite the mild whiff of wrapping expensive linens around her because her pants had burned off or something, I think I’m on board.
