Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you are looking forward to some fun weekend plans. Sundays are the Tony Awards! We will be having a live chat during the telecast over at Drinks With Broads and it should be fun. We’d love you to join us! As always, of course we’ll have full red carpet coverage on Monday here at GFY.

PS: If you’ve run into issues with a weird Norton spam ad here — we are working on it. This one has been tough to fix. (The super huge animated ads that were taking over the bottom of the site should be gone at the moment, though.) (Ads are the bane of my existence!)

Speaking of Drinks With Broads, over there this week, we had a new recap of Rivals! Also, I shared my manifesto about FORCED FUN SUMMER and Heather experienced Curtains For Zoosha, plus we root for J Lo and Roy Kent. And! We hosted an Elle-off and found THE BEST GFY HQ. Henry VIII is involved — twice.

Here at GFY, we had a fun chat about the one thing you always pack, and rounded up a whole bunch of cute swimsuits. (Related, I feel like one of you was looking for a long white cover-up with buttons — does this work? I also like this one but it’s more of a plain pop-over dress. It has SPF though!)

VERY sad to see that Anthony Head, best known to me as, of course, Giles from Buffy, has died. (I gasped when I read this headline.)

Clicked on this headline VERY quickly: The Untold Saga Behind an Infamous Male Supermodel Cult

I know you were delighted by this Friday Night Lights reunion.

This is perfect: I’m Jessica Fletcher, and I Don’t Even Feel Anything Anymore When I Find a Dead Body

As Lainey puts it: EYEROLL.

This is just….bonkers: The True Story Behind the “El Cap Kindergartener” Ascent

The folks at Tata Harper just gave me a 20% off code for GFY/DWB readers: DWB20. I LOVE this cleanser and have used it on and off for years, alternating with this one, and I’m currently testing their brightening eye gel, and am excited to try this mask.

Interesting: The Caitlin Clark Machine Is Turning on Caitlin.

This is wild: I Must Attempt to Explain the LEGO Scandal Rocking YouTube, Entire State of Utah. I love what a Mad Lib of a headline that is.

And this was gonna happen eventually: The Law is Finally Catching Up to Shia LaBeouf. How has this not happened sooner?

PSA: I just love these earrings.

Well! Don’t mind if I do: A Brief Compendium of Vintage Cocktail Recipe Books

This is a VERY vintage recipe: George Washington Recorded a Recipe for Beer While Leading a Militia. Thanks to the New York Public Library, You Can Imbibe That History This Summer

At Vanity Fair (as it should be): The Richest Woman in the World Has Done It Again With Her Art Museum—in the Middle of Arkansas

Interesting! Researchers May Have Just Identified A Rare Portrait Of Anne Boleyn That Was Hiding In Plain Sight For 500 Years

Heads up that Loft is having a very robust sale at the moment.  Am I finally gonna pull the trigger on these slightly crazy pants? (My size might be gone, though. You snooze, you lose.)

Speaking of sales, J.Crew’s popular linen shorts are marked down in a lot of colorways right now. Those were our number one bestseller last week! (In a VERY close second were these other J.Crew shorts, also on sale. The bronze medal went to the madras maxi-dress.)

Really interesting: How Americans Celebrated the Centennial in 1876

I do NOT need anymore shoes….but I do like these fisherman sandals.

ICYMI: Here’s the Latest on the 60 Minutes Controversy. What an absolute mess it is over there. I want to read those group chats.

Fun:  Party Like a Swede! A Guide to Celebrating Midsummer.

Speaking of stuff I want but don’t need: Feast Your Eyes on This Subway Sleeping Bag That Looks Like a Sandwich

Inspirational! I’m working on my deck right now: 55 patio, decking and terrace ideas for gardens little and large. (I trust the Brits when it comes to gardening content.)

Here’s a really fun new game for you: FoodGuessr. (And don’t forget the fun of Catfishing!)

This is a good one: Meet the Stylist Who Got Matthew Rhys Out of His 10-Year-Old Tuxedo

This is also fun: Sun’s Out, Tote Bags Ready – These Are the Best Vintage Sales Happening In June Across the United States. If you go to one, please report back!

Boden is also having a big sale, including a lot of swimwear — they have some really cute stuff right now. Speaking of great, slightly crazy pants! I also (of course) love a lot of their new arrivals. This print is so good.

I needed this one: 25 Easy Weeknight Dinners for June

This hot springs loop in Colorado sounds AMAZING. I wish I was in a hot spring right now.
