Well, I got the date wrong on this post THREE TIMES before I got it correct, so that’s how this week is going! (And then I found like six typos in this post, sigh.) Hope yours has been a good one. Tomorrow is Heather’s birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HEATHER!!!!!

At Drinks With Broads:

Heather recapped the penultimate episode of And Just Like That. (Finale recap coming Monday!)

I recapped the season finale of The Gilded Age. SHUT UP, LARRY.

We tackled the new Naked Gun, watched Poop Cruise, and checked out the newest Vogue cover, plus shared our best office gossip stories.

And! Talked about the new Us Weekly story about Ellen and examined a very insane old Weight Watchers cookbook.

We had a lot of Afternoon Chats here at GFY, including: What’s your go-to lunch? Also, what’s your potluck go-to? (I guess I was thinking about food go-tos this week.) And it’s the return of get a rec/give a rec!

I also rounded up a lot of what I’m calling CUTE FISH THINGS.

I know a lot of you, including Heather, love Cadence travel pods (I just got these; if only I had somewhere to go!) I just noticed they have very cute clear bags to pack them in now. I truly am a sucker for any sort of travel gear.

On that very topic: How Nine Strategist Staffers Packed for Their Summer Vacations

Lainey catches us up on Taylor Swift on the Kelce brothers podcast, if you didn’t have time to tackle that yourself. No football pun intended.

Related, I love this from Nancy Armour at USA Today: Keep whining, insecure men. Taylor Swift isn’t even thinking about you.

PLEASE LET THE BUFFY REBOOT BE GOOD.

Speaking of TV shows I’m excited about, The Hollywood Reporter reports: ‘The Traitors’ Heads to NBC With Civilian Version of Backstabbing Game. YES.

At the Atlantic: What Kids Told Us About How to Get Them Off Their Phones

I’m glad someone figured it out! How to Save Figure Skating

PSA: As of this typing, Ruti is running a side-wide sale; 15% off everything, 22% off orders over $400. Just in case you were waffling on those pants Heather and I are both obsessed with. (I just bought these slightly insane pants, which are on sale sale, so let’s hope they fit because sizes are very limited.)

I want one of each: 6 Unspoiled Gilded Age mansions for sale right now.

Good question: What Does The New Paramount Pictures Look Like?

In the 1970s, Bhutan made stamps that were TINY VINYL RECORDS; this is absolutely fascinating.

I do NOT need new shoes but these plaid Converse are SO cute. On the opposite side of the flats spectrum, I love these silver ballet flats.

So fun: Are Pinball Machines the New Picassos? All I know is, we have a local pinball bar and it’s A BLAST.

A real merger of several of my interests: Jamie Dornan strips down for Diet Coke.

Cool: Homes of ‘working-class Romans’ discovered during Rome metro dig

The Athletic is running a fascinating and harrowing series about stalking in sports. Today, I read this one: The epicenter of stalking in sports? Why tennis stands apart.

A really fun idea at the Souvenirist:  How to wear what you bought on vacation

News some of you can perhaps use: ThirdLove is now selling “thermoregulating” bras and undies, alleged to keep you cooler. They sent me a pair of the undercrackers to try and they ARE really nice and I do think they work, with the caveat that I haven’t had a real hot flash so can’t speak to their efficacy when you are REALLY hot.

I love this: The hardest working font in Manhattan.

Oh no, now I need banana pudding.

This Vanity Fair cover is low-key confusing. (I thought she was pushing the screen?)

I’m NOT ready for autumn yet but the new fall colors at Cuyana are PRETTY.

Interesting, from Kim France: What it’s like to write a celebrity profile. I am dying to know who this particular celebrity is, although I think the comments have it figured out. (The comments here are very interesting.)

Someone at DWB let me know about Ask a Manager’s recent FAFO collection and it’s very entertaining. I truly love AaM, god bless Alison.

As you know, I am obsessed with the Soft Services exfoliating bars so I was VERY excited to see that they have a new — I almost called it a flavor. A new variety. It does sound like it would taste good. (I think it’s launching on Soft Services website on Saturday if it’s sold out at Sephora.) (Yes! I was right. Here it is. It’s so pretty, which is a weird thing to say about a bar of soap, but here we are. Apparently, it’s less intense than the original version, which IS intense for an exfoliator. [As you know, I am passionate about exfoliating.])

Excuse me. Why are we not at this hotel right now?

Fascinating: The death of the prewar floorplan

Finally, good news! Only Murders in the Building is back September 9. (We will once again be recapping at Drinks With Broads, for paid subscribers.) And we got a new trailer:

The cast this season is insane; I forgot Renée Zellweger was in it this year. Fun! (She looks like she’s in full Down With Love vibe.)
