I was inspired to write that after seeing the Ralph Lauren show at New York Fashion Week (on my computer, obviously; I was not there), and because many of us got to talking about our enjoyment of tweed/houndstooth/tweed-adjacent items. For a person who lives in Los Angeles, I am VERY prone to buying tweed-ish things from Boden (which has A LOT OF THEM) and then sweating in them. I have a red houndstooth blazer from J.Crew that they don’t make any more, and I wear it ALL the time (this is pretty similar, though a bit pricier). It’s a very SPECIFIC look, but sometimes I like to look like I’m a professor at a women’s college in the 50s, or like Lady Mary if she were beamed slightly into the future. (Or even just like someone who is excited she found a decent duplicate for Duchess Kate’s Gucci tweed frock.)

And you have OPTIONS! Again: Please know that I know that my tweed categorization here is VERY FLUID:

FYI: GFY uses affiliate links where available, which means we get a tiny bonus if you get yourself something new. I can assure you that all jackets were personally chosen by me while I sat around drinking canned Palomas and watching Real Housewives of Orange County.
