Friends, here in the Northern Hemisphere, it is VACATION TIME. (Which is not to say that our Southern Hemisphere Friends do not get to take a winter vacay. You do and you should. Treat yourself!) And ergo, it is time for our Semi-Traditional Travel Accessories Post. I LOVE a travel accessory. There is a reason I own like seven different sets of power adaptors. (Even though they are all the same.) Let’s talk about our travel must-haves — for plane, train, automobile, boat, hot air balloon, or however you’re getting to where you’re going.
My personal must-have travel accessories are:
My beloved Laneige lip mask (I wear it all the time, not just at night) due to how dry I get on planes.
These Evian atomizers for the aforementioned dryness. I TRULY thought these were just bullshit until I tried them on the plane last year when Heather and I went to the UK for Harry and Meghan’s wedding and they are VERY PLEASANT.
A giant but very light scarf that you can use as a blanket on the plane in case you get cold. (This is the one thing I cannot resist buying in the airport if I forget mine, ergo I have a wide variety of Weird Airport Scarves.)
And, to carry all your shit, I’ve pulled a selection of cute weekender bags. Personally, I use this Liberty tote as my carry-on/smaller weekender, and I love it, but sometimes you want something that zips. I’ve had a leather weekender basically like this one since I graduated from college one million years ago, and it was a great investment for longer trips (it was a graduation gift). But there are so many options!
Bring us all your trips and tricks and products!
FYI: GFY uses affiliate links where available, which means we get a tiny bonus if you get yourself something new. I can assure you that all dresses were personally chosen by me while I sat around drinking La Croix and watching the Women’s World Cup.
