What are you doing for New Year’s Eve? I have no plans as of yet, because I secretly sort of hate New Year’s Eve, because it’s SO HIGH PRESSURE. It has to be THE BEST NIGHT EVER. It generally makes me a little bit grumpy. (On the other hand, I LOVE New Year’s Day, because I just stay home and watch football and eat whatever I want.) Having said that, I appreciate the sartorial trappings of New Year’s Eve, because it’s the one night a year when you can truly look as FANCY as you want, and no one bats an eye. And it’s an excellent excuse to go buy yourself a fancy new evening bag. AND I CAN HELP:

As ever, if the widget doesn’t work, just refresh your browser.  Also, what I learned writing this (and what I knew from sourcing clutches during awards season) is that you can spend SO MUCH MONEY on an evening bag, holy cow. I included a couple of v. pricy ones in this selection in case you’re feeling spendy (and also for fun) but there are SO MANY out there to choose from — like, you could drop $8000 on an amazing wood clutch with the galaxy on it, or five grand on a bejeweled hedgehog, and honestly I kind of hope one of you does.

As a general housekeeping note: This is not a sponsored post. Our evening bag allegiances are ours alone. Like most websites, GFY uses affiliate links where available, which means we get a tiny bonus if you click through. I can assure you that all bags were personally chosen by me while I sat around drinking eggnog and watching Top Chef.
