Truly, Fonzie’s leather jacket is kind of the apex of leather jackets. Perfectly worn in, the fit is great. Fonzie is a fashion icon, truly — iconic jacket, classic jeans, those great aviators, amazing hair. Ayyyyy. (FWIW, apparently also Henry Winkler is a perfect gem of a human being and additionally, as a child, I was in love with him. ANYWAY.)

Anyway! Who am I to deny you this request, made last week when several of you noted that you didn’t need a new blazer but you could use a new moto jacket. We here in the Northern Hemisphere are barreling toward Moto Jacket Season and I, for one, cannot wait. (My own leather jacket was basically the greatest deal I ever got. Somehow, I’d bought some coupon on…Gilt? Must have been…that gave me something like 40% anything at J.Crew Factory, and J.Crew Factory was having a 30% off sale, and I ended up getting 70% off a leather moto jacket that they’re now selling at Madewell instead. It’s a great jacket. I bought it to replace my previous moto, which I’d gotten at Target and which served me VERY WELL for many years. It was basically this one, although mine was oxblood.) They are such useful items in a wardrobe, and once you manage to find a good one, you will wear it forever. Throw it over a dress! Wear it with jeans! Enjoy this time before you need to wear a coat that keeps your butt warm!

It’s also nice that we’re now living in a world that has A LOT of faux options, which are both generally cheaper and, of course, some people don’t wear leather. Like, this Topshop one at Nordstorm is very cute. Eloquii has some cute whimsical ones, as well as more standard-issue moto jackets — like, I really want one of you to buy this pink one. Or this leopard print one! That one is SO CUTE. Please buy it and email us a photo.

There are MANY options, in fact — in various colors, and fabrics:

FYI: GFY uses affiliate links where available, which means we get a tiny bonus if you get yourself something new. I can assure you that all items were personally chosen by me while I sat around drinking La Croix and watching baseball.
