I was sitting around last night, thinking about what kind of shopping post I should write this week — and please know, I always want suggestions! — watching the Olympics, and thought, “the Olympics have so many good scarves.” And then I started thinking about this Valentino scarf I saw over the weekend — it’s in their lipstick print, which is the same print that Frances McDormand wore to the BAFTAs and which I think is better on a scarf? — and then remembered a conversation I had with Jasmine about this great scarf she got at Liberty, and then I fell into a total Scarf Hole. I really want to be a Lady Who Wears A Scarf With Elan, but I feel like it’s not as easy as it looks! We also talked about this recently with regards to Kate Middleton, and my feeling, as expressed there, is that what you need is a light, but large, printed scarf and then you can kind of…whoosh it around your neck and look insouciant. But, let’s be real: I might need scarf tutoring and I welcome your tips.

I picked out some very pretty ones for us to practice with (some are larger and lighter than others, so make sure you look at the dimensions if you buy one). Spoiler: DAMN YOU CAN SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON SCARVES. I guess I also want to be a Lady Who Has Unlimited Scarf Cash? I apparently will blow a lot of it at Gucci.

This is not a sponsored post. Our scarf allegiances are ours alone. Like most websites, GFY uses affiliate links where available, which means we get a tiny bonus if you click through and/or get yourself something new. I can assure you that all scarves were personally chosen by me while I sat around drinking LaCroix  and watching the Olympics.
