Okay, so I know most kids are already back to school, and I am many many years away from my own Back to School shopping, but I have been trained to look out the window as the weather slowly starts to turn autumnal and think, “I need new fall clothes!” Even though it’s going to be hot in Los Angeles for a while yet. I will never forget sweating my ass off during MANY first days of school because I wanted to wear a new fall outfit. (Only, of course, to revert to shorts and a tee shirt for day two.) It was probably a blessing for my body temperature when I started attending a school that had uniforms.
This post was inspired by that feeling, and by a new dress I got at Target last week when I was just supposed to by buying a birthday card. It’s from their Who What Wear line, and I don’t think it’s online anymore, but it’s black with orange flowers on it and it looks like the very cutest vintage number Kirsten Dunst might wear, and I love it. (EDIT! Here it is! It’s much longer on me than it is on the model.) And there are SO MANY fall floral dresses out there — stuff you can wear now, but also wear with tights and a leather jacket when it gets colder. (I cannot wait until we’re at Leather Jacket season. I own this one, but I got it on SUPER sale because J.Crew Factory used to sell actual leather AND give out Gilt coupons before they realized people were getting leather jackets for like $80.)
Anyway. Fall floral dresses. LOOK AT THEM:
FYI: GFY uses affiliate links where available, which means we get a tiny bonus if you get yourself something new. I can assure you that all outfits were personally chosen by me while I sat around drinking Diet Coke and watching Big Brother.
