First, Emmy here is promoting Furious, a series by Liz Meriwether of The New Girl fame, but which sounds an awful lot like Killing Eve. We shall see. Emmy looks great here — those accessories are the perfect zing for the black dress. But the other day Reddit served me a post about all the curls we’ve loved and lost — Keri Russell, Nicole Kidman, Mariah, Ariana, Minnie Driver — and so I’m thrilled to see her big wavy hair. I have no idea if this is her natural texture and she just straightened it for most of her youth, or what, but regardless, I’m thrilled to see curls and waves being ADDED to the equation. Look how dishy she is here:
The dress is Monse, but I actually like it, even with the hint of sheer — I think it’s a very effective and sexy use of it, where the whole thing doesn’t bang you over the head with its transparency. But it’s crowned by the hair. I LOVE the big curly hair. A few years ago, I realized abruptly that my hair no longer looked full and curly, and in fact more closely resembled a witch — age + anemia has done a number on it — so I chopped it shorter, and I don’t feel like myself and don’t really like it, but I think I’m stuck here for the foreseeable. Maybe I’ll tape this photo inside the high-school locker door of my heart and cross my fingers that, like a crush, it’ll find its way back to me.
