First of all, IMPORTANT NEWS. You can click on pics and embiggen them again! Three cheers for Tiffany, without whom this website would probably be on fire.

Second: Let’s discuss these looks, one of which I think is better than the other, but neither of which I think are perfect. Demi is in Alice + Olivia, and it sort of feels like a bridesmaid’s dress at a really fun wedding, where the bar is open and all the groomsmen are single, feminist, and foine. Selena, on the other hand, is wearing a designer I’m not really familiar with, called Jacquemus, and she looks like she’s heading out on the first night of a destination bachelorette party — the best night, the one where everyone is fresh and energetic and not fighting off the hangover they earned the night before, the outing when the entire weekend seems full of promise and youth and not at all like you’re about to have a long, circuitous argument with your friend’s dumb college roommate about whether or not it’s inappropriate to wear a Native American ceremonial headdress to a Halloween party. (Spoiler: IT IS.)  So I guess the question is: Would you rather look great and elegant and composed and have a terrible time, or have a blast in a mediocre outfit that’s gonna be immortalized in photographs hung all over the walls of your friend’s home for the rest of your lives? Truly, a quandary for our time.
