Amal was honored by Diane von Furstenberg in Venice last night for the work she does as a human rights attorney. There seemed to be some confusion about this in the comments the last time we featured Amal — but she is a legit attorney who has worked on real-deal, high profile cases. Per Vogue: “Clooney is being honored for her prestigious track record of fighting for those who have suffered human rights abuses, including victims of war crimes and gender-based violence, as well as her work with the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s Waging Justice for Women program.” Per me, this dress is definitely working in the nightgown space — but, in the rarest of instances, in a good way. (Courtesy of John Galliano-era Dior, which she bought at Tab Vintage, a place at which I HIGHLY recommend wasting some time.)

Her date looks nice as well, although for a long moment, I thought he was wearing a blazer without a shirt under it. SAUCY.

Maybe they can use that pic for their holiday cards this year.
