Allison Janney’s Ruby(ish) Earrings Are Major

The headline kind of says it all, honestly: I saw those and actually shouted, “OOOOH,” at my computer screen. The ruby is such an underappreciated gem, but these certainly aren’t subtle about honoring them. And I can get behind that. Especially because nothing in the rest of the outfit is even trying to compete:

I mean, it’s perfectly fine, but let’s not kid ourselves about what the showpiece is here. I almost wonder if they picked out the earrings and then built around it as gently as possible.

It’s almost like a very beautiful gemstone insect. Which… I realize does not sound like a compliment. I should just clam up and let the ogling continue in silence.
