The styling on the runway, with the little neon belt, was better. Although she looks like she wants to fight me for saying that. I stand by it, Charlize! You have bigger problems – like those shoes. They are hilarious in theory but look really bad on an actual foot.

No one saw fit to make her face front, at least not in the batch of photos we have available. I THINK I like it?

Ultimately, I think she just doesn't carry clothes very well – at least not the clothes to which she is drawn. Everything wears her. And this makeup is so messy. Back to the drawing board.

This is also underwhelming. Styled differently, it had a shot, but her hair barely looks done and no effort seems to have been poured into making this feel complete. She looks like an unmade bed.

Whereas this very straightforward suit was wisely matched with good jewelry.

I guess she's accessorizing with... her nails?

At least the back has something going on.

Charli's dress is superb – much more fun than when Ralph gets all worked up about the American West and such. Quenlin's is like a Death Becomes Her homage.

Pinchy, but good.

Sexy dress; super necklace; I miss her as a brunette.

Lovely, but it needs a necklace to offset how low it sits. She should have bet Serena Williams on the outcome of the World Series to see if she could borrow hers.

It is what it is! This could be so much worse, and sometimes, that's the only bar you need to clear.

Child, am I seeing your Bermuda Triangle? Because let's not.

I believe his house DID burn. I'm glad he showed up for a group that helps people less poised than he is to pivot and rebuild. Also: still handsome.

Camila's dress is fantastic, but the red eye makeup works on just about nobody. Matty looks like someone in the photo pit just trash-talked Arch Manning to him.

This is fine! No whammies. I mean, the woman matched her lipstick to her heels; she is TRYING.

It fits, and it looks nice on her, and the earrings are super... but this is kind of a visual nap from the neck down.

She is a very successful interior designer, and worked at Elle Decor, and judged Top Design on Bravo. Her beach house burned down in the L.A. fires. And that is SO MUCH BOOB for this moment. The dress looks like she rescued it FROM the fire. Does that sound tacky? I don't mean it to, and for all I know, it was intentional.

Bless this photographer for meeting the moment with PERFECT framing. (And Tracee, for deploying perfect shoes.)

Sure! It's a nice suit, but she and Charli XCX might be in the same boat in terms of selling an outfit.

It just never quite works.
