This is BEYOND. I love it so much. What a dream. I don't even think the little beaded strands tapping against my ankles all night would bother me.

There is a lot of custom Valentino at this event, and here is one. It's beautiful on her, with the fit of the butterfly bodice especially perfect. Elle wears all of these colors well, and it turns out she can wear them all at ONCE well, too.

She must be having a weird time, given that her ex Joe Manganiello is giving all these interviews about visiting shamans and doing Santeria rituals and claiming one of her exes had cursed him. This dress is a gorgeous potential antidode.

Extremely sexy. She is whetting your appetite for the second season of The Hunting Wives.

It's not BAD, but it IS a wall of fishing lures.

The fit on the bodice might not be QUITE there for her? But this is intricate and fascinating, and she sells it so well.

This is ALSO intricate, and I LOVE the top. But I think the column skirt – which looks like aluminum foil you're trying to reuse but it won't quite smooth out – is slightly undermining it.

She simply refuses not to serve.

Friends, this maybe could have been in the "worst" slideshow. It was right on the line. That top is bizarre.

Ooh, I'm so glad someone wore Bob Mackie to this to pay homage, and what an INCREDIBLE one to have chosen. Props to her stylist Yael Quint. I award this the hottest of damns.

This is an effective use of sheers – delicate, but not smacking you upside the head. Possibly the best thing she's worn in a while.

And look, Miu Miu did good work, too! Everyone was really feeling it this weekend.

The Dior PR email calls this a silk coat, but it almost looks like a couture raincoat.

This is simple and perfect on her, including her makeup.

This is probably her most major red carpet yet, in what people seem to hope will be a string of them if she gets awards attention for Obsession. Schiaparelli is quite a get, even if the shape of it makes her midsection look like something went VERY wrong on the pottery wheel.

TREMENDOUS. All these designers were ON IT.

What is sparklier, his jacket or his smile?

I would have guessed this to be Herrera, but no! It's adorable and I love it on her, with the lone note that it is custom and therefore I think should have been built to sit a bit higher.

I do not love this, but I accept that the design choice seems to suit her aesthetic.

This is also a little boring by comparison to all the rest of this. Not inept, but just a bit of a nap.

Likewise, again, etc.

Fine and functional.

Not my favorite of Gupta's work, but the skirt is pretty.

I would have guessed THIS to be Cavalli. She and her sideboob wear it well.

Not sure about the head-styling, but the dress is a beautiful way to end this and it fits like a dream. We had a superb success rate in here, no?
