You mean her stylist could have been this good this whole time?!? This MIGHT be right on the hoik line, but it's demure and romantic and pure Classic Glamour, an approach that really fits an event celebrating a museum of movie history. I actually LOVE her hair? Not forever, but with this.

Leave the gloves! Also, I assume that peek of white is intentional, but it LOOKS like a lining accident and therefore was worth a second thought. You never want to seem like an accident is happening.

The necklace gets really lost with that neckline; at that point, don't even do it. The color is nice, but it might all feel like she's a bridesmaid at a friend whose wedding is very streamlined.

It is really weird, by the by, to have no one on Versace. That brand is really in trouble since the Prada sale, eh? I mention that because this feels Versace to me, but is not. She looks fine, but I still think her makeup approach is spotty.

And the back is both sexy, and DEEPLY perilous. Also things I consider more a hallmark of Versace than Armani, in fact.

She changed for her performance, and while this is perfectly nice, am I crazy that the other one would have stood out much better against the background?

Oh, Edward. I actually don't hate this, but I am never sure if he as a person can quite carry all the sartorial risks he likes to take.

That is a HANDSOME double-breasted jacket. And, man.

She looks delightful. I keep hearing Pierpaolo Piccioli might be in trouble already at Balenciaga, and yes, you COULD argue this is basically just a giant drape, but she's carrying it because the color is so wonderful.

Lovely!

Sure! That must have been a bear to wrangle, and I don't know if I understand the need for that asymmetry at the top, but it's nice to see a slightly different silhouette on her than just a sleek column.

This Ken is zippy.

This color seems a tad hot for her.

This is our second bridesmaid-y feel of the gallery. It's the material and the baby pink, for me.

Team Bader, your girl NABs. (I know it would be NsAB – needs a bracelet, not need a bracelets – but that's not as zingy.)

This is Emily's dress, if they'd crossed it with a very sparkly coral reef.

This is entirely saved by the GIANT necklace. Well-chosen.

This is why I tend not to love pockets on the red carpet. The temptation to jam your hands in them, and make yourself look like a kangaroo, is great.

She's getting ready to promote The Hunger Games: How Long Can We Drag This Franchise Out, and I assume that will have a lot of wild looks. Wise to go simple here.

It fits all her bits! Color me pleasantly surprised.

That's quite good on her, too.

I would have found a necklace to go with this.

Very nice, sir!

Ruth is in Sian Hader's latest, Being Heumann, based on the memoir of disability rights activist Judith Heumann. (I know "disability" is not everyone's favorite word, but that is how she refers to herself in the book's title.) I like the black swiss-dot panel; I'm just not sure why her left shoulder is peeking out.

Fantastic. And I do understand the clear shoes, but I still hate them and think a low-profile gold strappy situation could have been just as effective and also not plastic.

He is dressed as your favorite school supply: a highlighter. (Actually, mine was binders.)

Ooh, that's a great lip color on her – she is still doing minimal makeup anywhere else, but gave herself a little zip on her smile. The dress is... fine. I don't love the white-chocolate-mint palette.

I have the same shoe note for her as I did for Tracee.

She is forever reasonable, but also perhaps SLIGHTLY pinched in the mammarial region.

Sold!

NOT sold. The pants seem wrong. Compliments on his waves, though.

I can live with it!

Likewise.
