Jessica Chastain and Cynthia Nixon took to the NYC streets yesterday, both of them famous former-redheads – one by nature, one by bottle – who are now blond. But the aura could not be more different. Jessica strolled around looking both extremely cute, and a bit like she decided not to go as Zooey Deschanel for Halloween but couldn't bear to let the outfit go to waste. It's perhaps a tad surprising for November, but I appreciate the cheer.

Everything about this suit is depressed. It's how I felt after the 2024 elections: slumped, sad, wrinkly, and frowning with every molecule. But this is 2026! And it was on Wednesday! That day was a victory lap! Aunt Ada should be dressed for a dance hall with Marian, not for a meeting with her attorney to update her will.
