Yes, today is Thursday rather than Friday! We’re taking tomorrow off for the Independence Day holiday, and will be back on Monday as usual. Hope your holiday plans are fun ones. (I’m doing nothing, but nothing can be fun.) (My husband has to work and I’m on a boring diet because I have a colonoscopy next week.) If you’re in Europe, stay cool! If you or your loved ones are in Venezuela, I hope everyone is okay in the wake of the earthquake. Today has a nice round-up of ways to help those earthquake victims.

At Drinks With Broads this week, we had a fun conversation about all our Toasters in the Basement, and Taylor’s ongoing wedding rumors, and this morning’s issue got into more Taylor Wedding Rumors and also a Blind Item from…Scott Eastwood?!? Sure. We also had an exciting live chat during the World Cup games on Wednesday. USA!!!!!! What a thrilling game yesterday.

Here at GFY, I covered the BET Awards, Heather tackled the kits of the World Cup, and we looked at June’s best-sellers AND some of the cutest tennis gear you can get, even if you don’t play. (Among other things!)

I found this useful even though my only child is a nearly 14 year-old dog: 7 Busy Parents Share Their Quickest Go-To Dinners. (Note that this is from May, so there’s a lot of talk about the end of the school year that may no longer apply even if you do have kids at home!)

LOTS of 4th of July sales, as you might imagine. I’m corralling a bunch of them here, in case you’ve got the shoppies:

– Korres is 30% off all weekend. I absolutely love their sleeping facial, this shower gel, and this fragrance. Korres is already pretty reasonably priced, so these are kind of a steal.

– I love my Soludos espadrilles; they’ve got a 50% sale this weekend. These rainbow ones are CUTE!

– J.Crew Factory is doing 50% off. This includes a ton of highly reasonable tees and tanks, and this Fug Nation fave.

– Loft is also 50% off. I am sure at least one of you wants a sweater that says SALTY.

– If you need luggage, Away is having a big sale! Speaking of travel, I keep all my meds in a Cadence capsule and I just noticed Cadence has actual pill boxes now, so my Advil and my Xanax don’t have to rub up against each other.

– Banana Republic has a seriously huge sale running — it’s up to 60%, with an extra 20% off the sale price. I really like these linen pants, this is a classic easy tank, and I know at least one of you wants a brown-and-cream breton stripe.

– Print Fresh — which makes my favorite pajamas (size up) — also sells non-pj apparel, and it’s 30% off this weekend with code SUNNY. I wish I’d seen this lobster set when I was doing that Cute Fish Stuff round-up! This little shift also has lobsters on it. (They have a lot of cute ocean-related items, actually.)

– Frame has a bunch of markdowns; I love these jeans; the flare is exactly right.

– Speaking of jeans, the AYR sale is also quite good. I have this shirt and wear it all the time.

– This is not a sale, but I love this new collection from Negative underwear. (I wear their long-sleeved layering tee all the time and am in general a fan of their undies.)
