The Devil Wears Fug

Uh, first of all, I just took a good look at this and…I feel like I can see WAY more of her goodies than I need to see. PS: good on you for wearing boy shorts, Emily.

PPS: your hair is cute, and I’m unreasonably delighted by the fact that your Devil Wears Prada co-star Stanley Tucci is engaged to your sister. I feel like you and the Tuc and your sister and Krasinski must be a fun foursome for dinner.

All that being said, can we please return to the top of your outfit, because NO.  This is what would happen if a Robert Palmer Girl mated with Gozer the Gozerian and then had to go to a funeral. At a strip club. You deserve better.

Not sure why you is hatin’ on this so much. It’s a little Vegas-showgirl-bodystocking-with-sequins, but it looks OK.

I very seriously thought Stanley Tucci is gay. I can’t tell if I’m happy he’s straight, but jealous of the woman he’s now engaged to, or if I’m sad he’s not gay and thus would never have been open to my affections, had I the chance to throw them his way. Which oh, I would have.

Kristina – it’s like you’re reading my mind (except for thet throwing myself at him part.) I’m sad he’s not gay because I always dreamed I’d meet him, set him up with my best friend (a gay man) and then we’d have fabulous dinner parties!

He is simply a very, very good actor.
I think it’s wonderful that he’s found love again after the death of his wife. He was so dignified and silent about that. Very refreshing.

Not sure why anyone thought he was gay – always thought his gay character in The Devil Wears Prada was over the top. He left his wife and three children for Edie Falco for a while after they were in Frankie and Johnny together and while I obviously didn’t know the story and wasn’t there I found that a bit offputting. Am similarly a bit offput that his new fiancee is almost 20 years younger than him, but I think what’s really clear here is that I’m just not a fan like some other people posting here. Emily however is adorable but the dress is not…

I love Stanley Tucci! This dress, not so much. But, I think Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are so cute together.

Love Stanley Tucci. Love Em’s hair. Would love the dress with a full length lining.

I didn’t recognize her when I saw a shot of her and the hubs on another site. I thought “Who is that with him??”

why oh why are designers so averse to lining this season? This is not a good look.

    I love her hair though…

I wish it was lined and ended just above the knee.

Love her, Love Tucci (although I too thought he was gay), Love that guy from the office, sure I’d love her sister.

She’s just to darn cute to rag on. Even while wearing this, which isn’t terribly awful. I agree with Stefanie–end it just above the knee.

    Emily Blunt is just gorgeous.

But Leg Curtains have to go. In general. Banish them from LIFE.

Holy cow, for a nano second, I thought I was looking at a photo of CHER. Not good!

This is one of the better sheer skirts I’ve seen so far, but still cannot get behind the trend.

No one likes the sheer skirt trend, right?? Why does everyone is Hollywood seem to be wearing it though?

The top part of the outfit is what we’re objecting to? Because seriously, I didn’t even notice. I think this would be cute if it, you know, had a skirt.

Love the Tuc, love Em’s smile and hair. The dress itself, not so much, but I’m too happy now thinking about the fabulous dinner parties, so I’ll give it a pass.

I really like the line, her hair, the bodice and everything else, until we descend to the sheer leg curtains. Just continue the black lining all the way to the floor and it would have been lovely. Although the sequin deign has a vaguely anatomical look, like a very fashionable reveal of one’s circulatory system.

I really don’t think the top part is see through at all, I’m really confused that you said you can see her underwear because I can’t at all. Then I felt like a perv cause I zoomed in to see if I could spy the “boy shorts” or if you were crazy, I concluded you’re crazy and it’s a trick of the light or lace, not see through at all.

Also, that hair is awful and washes her out. She looks best as a brunette, she has fair skin but not the super pale Rose McGowan, Christina Ricci skin that looks great with black hair.

Ahahaha. That last bit is genius. The dress is bizarroville. That said, I think her overall head looks better than it has in ages!

I’m ready for this trend to die – it looks good on no one. It’s not easy for Emily Blunt not to look gorgeous either, but she’s coming close here.

I’m with Dazie – what is it with the “sheer below the knees” theme that keeps popping up here?

I have to disagree on the subject of her hair. We’re just a few inches shy of a full Mortician Addams here. (Come to think of it, so is the dress.)

I don’t like the hair. It’s too dark for her, and too severe.
