Fug File: Emmy Awards

Emmy’s Best and Worst Dressed

Behold your best-dressed, after a very tight race, in which Christina Hendricks came within 20 votes of pulling the upset:

Congrats to Anna Gunn for ultimately barely defeating Joan Holloway, a feat few women have accomplished.

And — drum roll please — in a historic moment, guess who becomes the first person to be voted Worst Dressed twice in one calendar year?

Fug Nation’s Best and Worst Dressed: The Run-Offs

In which I took the top three (or four, in the case of “worst,” because spots 2-4 were very close) vote getters in each category and ask those of you who voted for other people to CHOOSE YOUR CHOICE (not that those of you who voted for these actresses can’t change your vote or vote again or abstain — you do what you want, dude)! Because…why not? What else have you got to do, other than take part in this very important, life-changing vote? It’s kind of like you’re on the Supreme Court, truly. Bear that in mind as you click that little button.

Emmy Awards: Fug Nation’s Best Dressed

As we’ve done since last year’s Oscars, we’re voting on a narrowed down selection of individuals so as not to have your head explode. As I said circa the Met Gala, that selection of individuals is chosen using a complex algorithm of Our Feelings + Your Feelings + Level of Celebrity – BORING x crazy x crazy x crazy + your mom. It’s VERY mathematical. Additionally, seeing all these Best Dressed Candidates laid out like this really drives home the fact that this year’s Emmys was mildly underwhelming, no? Better bring the big guns to the Golden Globes, ladies.

Who was the best dressed at the Emmys?

  • Allison Janney (9%, 486 Votes)
  • Allison Williams (3%, 137 Votes)
  • Anna Gunn (14%, 743 Votes)
  • Carla Gugino (2%, 92 Votes)
  • Carrie Brownstein (7%, 372 Votes)
  • Carrie Preston (5%, 249 Votes)
  • Carrie Underwood (0%, 18 Votes)
  • Christina Hendricks (11%, 611 Votes)
  • Christine Baranski (1%, 39 Votes)
  • Elisabeth Moss (3%, 177 Votes)
  • Kaley Cuoco (4%, 218 Votes)

Emmy Pre-Party Fugs and Fabs: Better Stuff from the EW Party

Well, it’s not ALL better, but it’s at least less same-y than all that lace. Mostly I love that some of those hot messes wore what they wore, and Noted Kook Kat Graham swanned in looking like a million bucks and put them to shame.
