SAG Awards Fugs and Fabs: Accessories

It’s hump day. Let’s get through it with some window shopping.

Note: Our heinous technical problems meant some slides’ text got deleted. It’s fixed now, I think? I hope?

I got as far as slide 16, then got an error message after that. Anyone else?

I was able to get past them by scrolling through the pictures at the bottom and clicking on the one that was giving me an error. One or two slides I had to skip completely as they wouldn’t work even that way, and then the last few slides didn’t have captions.

Same here, but I only got to 14.

yep – same thing’s been happening to me on the site all day. The error says “Oops! The page you are looking for is no longer here.”

I got to Chastain, then got an error :(

I got up to about 16, and then was able to see the remaining pictures but they had no captions with them. How am I supposed to survive this week at work without the FUG site working properly??!! :)

Same thing for me, slide 17 onward are just completely hinky–some are broken links, and the links from the arrows sometimes skipped over a bunch of slides or went backwards or generally acted possessed by the devil. I had a bunch of oops-es yesterday too, clicking through from Google Reader, but I was able to get most of them to load by removing the feed referral stuff from the link.

Get well soon, GFY! I wish you virtual chicken soup.

I’m sorry, you guys. We are having database issues, and they’re trying to fix it as fast as they can. I know it’s really annoying.

I got through fine, thankfully. I want Kerry Washington’s fingers and manicure… I mean, not that I literally want her fingers… you know what I mean!!!

Chastain’s necklace reminds me of Claire’s Boutique rhinestone jewelry for prom.

I was going to say it reminds me of the old rhinestone jewelry we used to scavenge the thrift stores for back in the 80s.

I also fixed the slides that showed up (for me) as having no captions written by us. GRR. Thanks for the patience…

If I skip slide 17 (buy using the slideshow of small pics at the bottom) the rest works fine. The first time I tried to look they basically all defaulted to the food holding woman which kind of cracked me up.

(like, I know fug girls love a sandwich – as do I – but they really took that love to a new level in the accessories slideshow!)

I’d wear the hell out of Jenna Elfman’s shoes.

Technical issues BETTER NOT keep me from admiring the shoes!

Kiernan Shipka’s shoes are awesome, and I’m envious that a 13-year-old can properly walk in those heels and I would have been tottering around and/or pitching not-so-gracefully to the ground. She looked wonderful, though.

Did anyone else notice how large Peyton List’s shoes were? Dang how did she even walk in those? Her feet must have been slipping and sliding everywhere.

I have no idea who Peyton List is, but her shoes were gorgeous. Would’ve been even better with an orange pedi though.

What about Morena Baccarin’s lizard hair clip? Man, I loved that so hard.

Peyton List’s shoes (and whoever she may be) might be cute … but they’re about two sizes too big. Look where her heel hits on the inside of the shoe.

So many hand close ups made me realize that all of these women get their cuticles cut. Stop! Don’t do it! It can cause infections and generally make the look/feel of your hands deteriorate. Is this “normal”? Does everyone do it? I always ask to get mine pushed back, not cut.

I know this is terrible but when I looked at the Kaley slide the first thing I thought of was the Seinfeld “man hands” episode. Yikes. Those nails are not helping a bit.

Amy Poehler’s clutch was TO DIE FOR, with the color and that jeweled deco-ish clasp. I love it unconditionally. (Off to search for some vintage bits I can use to create an homage item for myself …)

Carmen Electra’s nails look like she got some plastic glue-ons and forgot to paint them.
This slide show gave me such confusion! I felt like the platform thing was working its way out…but they are still everywhere! I am kind of tired of them, but at the same time some of the super-strappy ones like Julianna Margulies’s also look dated to me. Ugh. I am in a shoe limbo zone, and I don’t like it!

I actually LOVE Julia Stiles’ shoes. I would wear the hell out of them, with the appropriate pedi, of course.

I loved every single purse and piece of jewelry and some of the shoes… I want them all!

Oh my god Sofia Vergara’s shoes are maybe the ugliest shoes I’ve ever seen. Just, no!

So many pretty clutches, but my faves: Michelle Dockery’s purse and Julia Style’s shoes. I have bunions and my feet actually hurt just looking at most of these shoes, but Julia’s shoes look adorable… and in my mind the middle part across the top of the foot is stretchy, so these actually look like they might be comfortable!

GREAT purses, Nina Dobrev’s is my favorite. Not as excited about most of the shoes, but did like Peyton Lists and Morena Baccarin’s. But most of these folks get a big F on their manicures – either not enough or way too much. Kerry Washington wins – (her nails look perfect!), with Clea Duvall a close second.

I could never be a Hollywood a-lister…. Cause I could just not handle wearing shoes that do not fit! What is the story….is there a special trick to these ladies being able to bear the pain of ill-fitting shoes? Perhaps that’s where the drug problems among certain young starlets begins…as a way to deal with borrowed shoe problems. Hm,
