I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence, but there’s some pretty symmetry in Reese revisiting strapless yellow on the tenth anniversary of one of her most iconic red carpet moments: arriving at the Globes with her spanking new breakup bangs and wearing that yellow, strapless, cocktail-length Nina Ricci. In a way, this is the grown-up version of that: a gentler lemon strapless evening gown, sideswept bangs in an updo, and swapping in a major necklace for the kicky bracelet. She looks equally wonderful in both gowns; we should all be so lucky to have a decade march on us so kindly. I miss the fun of the red shoes, though. If someone on her team did make the connection, I wish they’d tossed her a pair of something with spice.
