Last year, Duchess Kate recycled a frugal Hobbs coat for this event, having been fresh off a seemingly frivolous trip to the Maldives that had raised some eyebrows. Today she wore something new — a bespoke Catherine Walker — for the St. Patrick’s Day parade at Mons Barracks, and while I understand one can’t always indulge the temptation to wear green on that kind of occasion, I do prefer the 2014 model to this muddy brown look. That at least felt like a taste of spring. Still, it’s not an unattractive cut, and Wills wore the Irish Guards uniform, which is always a treat. Let’s dive in and discuss.
