On the Friday of Oscar weekend, Vanity Fair dropped a delicious bombshell of a Jennifer Garner cover, featuring an interview we discussed extensively as a masterwork of language and PR. And it ensured that on Sunday, everyone was looking at Jennifer Garner and thinking not, “Oooohhh, it must be weird getting back into the spotlight,” but rather, “Yep. She’s winning.”
It’s revenge glam at its most gently gorgeous. Sometimes the red carpet is the most delicious way to underline a point — that being, per the kicker in that article, she most certainly is nobody’s ashes from which to rise. In fact, she’s a fire all her own.
