On Fug Road

Perhaps K Stew misread the memo and thought they were going to make her run a marathon, not appear on a telethon:

I just feel like when you are appearing at a benefit for victims of Hurricane Sandy, it is perhaps not the ideal time to sport an ensemble that looks as if it was made entirely out of caution tape. A sense of occasion, after all, is one thing that never goes out of style.

Maybe she thought the yellow would make her stand out? Perhaps she is out of Balenciaga outfits now that Ghesquière has left? She might be getting ready to sprint away.
In any case, she seems to always be beyond the realm of understanding ….

Those are actually really cute…for pairing with a bright sports bra and boxing gloves for a training montage..

Out of all the clothes in all the gin joints in the world and she picked this.

I don’t mind the top but those shorts are awful.

Is that a one-peice romper? It is hideous AND inappropriate. But better than showing up dressed to the nines, I suppose.

Romper? I don’t think so – it looks like a windbreaker tucked into shorts. I suppose the windbreaker could be a onsie-type, but the running shorts appear to be completely separate.

You know what does go out of style? Calling KRISTEN STEWART, “KStew”. Leave 2008 Jessica and join us in almost 2013.

Oh, honey. Never. I was SO MUCH YOUNGER in 2008. I plan to stay here forever!!

I’ll never relinquish the KStew moniker either–it never goes out of style.

Kristen Stewart… come out of the Comments Closet. We won’t bite.

She’s really gunning for a fug madness win, isn’t she?

Maybe, but she’ll never beat Gangsta Bieber and his Giant Dropped Crotches of Doom.

What a concert! This old crone loved all the coverage, though I was not very impressed with Sir Paul’s contribution. This outfit was not all that bad, though she should have worn the top with trousers instead of jogging shorts.

I had never heard KStew actually speak, and she came off fairly well, not so much beauty pageant contestant as earnest high school debater. I was surprised to see a pleasant expression on her face. But her hair did not look like it was freshly shampooed and styled.

I think Target currently has those shorts in stock. They are in the Pajama Bottoms section.

Sweetie, if you have any ambition to be A Serious Actor someday, quit wearing the clown clothes. At least until you have earned Carte Blanchett.

See, now, from Justin Bieber, I would have expected this.

Last night at the 12.12.12. concert she looked so very tired (as in sleepy, not “tired” as in “old-hat”), as if she had serious jet lag.

That outfit has eau de Stella McCartney. Someone please open a window.

This gets fugged and not Kanye’s man-skirt? I want his interior monologue IN CAPITAL LETTERS!

We don’t have pictures of Kanye’s skirt — sorry!

The fact that THE MANSKIRT is not in your lightbox is a national tragedy.

I saw it and immediately thought of you. I don’t know what that says about me.

I giggled last night when I saw this because I knew it would show up here today. I don’t like it. At all. Why wear what is essentially a jogging suit with heels? And I wish she would have brushed her hair.

I could not decide if it was just general K. Stew (I will call her that forever, sorry) fuggery, or if she was just legit exhausted or what, but I mean seriously dear. You are introducing Jon Bon Jovi (with a guest from Bruce Springsteen HIMSELF) and you act like you’re ordering something you’re not particularly into at a Subway? (On your way back from the gym, judging by the way you’re dressed.)

She doesn’t look like a porn star in training or a be-ballgowned cliche. I was meh on her but the more I see of her, it is starting to get to the point where she can do no wrong with me. What is she, 22? OK, I am clucky mother hen. But still.

I think KS’s shorts were fine and sort of cute. Adam Sandler looked like he was just washed ashore by the hurricane, and people are criticizing this girl — who at the very least looked CLEAN?

    • Helen
      0

She looks pretty greasy to me.

I didn’t watch, so I didn’t see Sandler, but I have no trouble believing he looked even worse.

Whose idea was it to invite KStew and how much had they been drinking when they made that decision? I appreciate if she wanted to help the cause but everyone knows she is not good with the public. “Awkward” doesn’t even describe it. So let’s throw her on stage in front of thousands of people and broadcast it live to millions (or was that billions)? No. Just, no. And “no” is the right word for that outfit.

She was in town because she had a movie premiere the next night. She didn’t even watch the concert and left right away to go to an On the Road afterparty. Just another promotion stop for her.

I was yelling at the TV. Damn, girl could of least washed her hair. Mick Jagger is fugly and 70 and he looked better than KStew.

There is nothing wrong with her outfit. It looks great on her. Everything she does or wears does not warrant nasty comments. She was there for a good cause, not nasty comments about her fashion.

    • Heather

Would it have killed her to dress like she CARED about said good cause?

      • Liz
        0

Agreed — those aren’t even formal shorts, those are flat-out Umbros…girl is not appearing at an event for a soccer charity, which would be the only event at which they would be appropriate.

(Agreed that it wouldn’t have killed her to dress like she cared, that is)

I seriously thought this was Emma Watson for a moment, and thought, “Hermione would never!”

    Alas, Bela probably would.

Actually, i think this is quite quite great. I love the color and i love the style. It was quite appropriate for the event. After all, this is Madison Square Garden folks.

Glad to see Kristen doing this, and as usual, she is memorable. Always interesting. Too many people want her (and everybody, really) to toe the line, including some posters here.

I thought at first that this was Emma Watson and I thought how she did get her hair to grow so fast…

Since a lot of the people affected were total hipsters, this makes PERFECT sense to me. lol.

Don’t come to a benefit straight from the soccer field. At least throw on a pair of jeans.

    • Helen

Jeans would’ve been fine. People wear a wide variety of clothes to this kind of event.

Windbreaker pajamas, however, I’d find both funny, and out of place, at the supermarket. I mean, this is just awful! :-D
