NY Fug.com: Ranking Stereotypical Looks From the Academy of Country Music Awards

You know. Sometimes they’re a little bit country. Sometimes they’re a little bit “Where Am I?” I long for more spangles. For example:

Who: Just a multiplatinum singer who wrote “Feel Like A Woman,” the song that even Don Draper couldn’t have resisted sticking in feminine grooming commercials.

What: Shania vanished to Switzerland for about a decade, and it shows. From the front this is a babydoll dress that’s unraveling itself, and from the back, it’s what one of those blink-and-you-miss-them “’amous bands’  would wear to play 90210’s Peach Pit After Dark.”

But there is so much more! Including overalls! Read the rest over at The Cut!

Take away the ACM logo in the photos’ background, and this could be a parade of people from one of those oddball Australian events you occasionally cover. Why does everyone look so… off?

I am with you. So confused. All I could inarticulately think as I clicked on each picture is “What?”

I am so confused by Faith Hill’s lady parts curtains!?!?!?! I don’t think upper inner thigh would have made it past the Grammys dress code. How did it get on camera here? I think she is beautiful and talented, but that just makes me so embarassed for her! Was that how the dress was supposed to be worn?

I know she’s only a child, but Rae Lynn makes me stabby. I think it’s the hair flowers. Or maybe the Shirley Temple poses. I’m definitely going to hell.

anyone know how to load these slideshows? With my ad-blocker on, they don’t load at all, and with it off, a Target ad covers the entirety of the text (which is the best part!)
