Milan Fugshion Week: Gucci Spring/Summer 2013

You know we’re going to see a lot of Gucci between now and the next Fug Madness. Some of it might be right here. Shall we play Fantasy Stylist and guess which ones will end up on Emma Stone, Diane Kruger, one of the Jessicas perhaps, and a Kardashian? Let’s play.

Emma Watson needs to snap up #26 ASAP, because I’m pretty sure she could rock the hell out of it with the right pair of shoes.

I was thinking Emma Stone myself – but both would look mighty fine in this.

Photo/Outfit 6 would be awesome for Popeye, you know, if he were a cross-dresser.

I can see Swinton! in a few of those floor-length, solid colored, ruffled thingies. Maybe even the first one if it comes in ivory or yellow. And she’s totally rock it.

I lurves me a ruffle. And the colors in this collection. And the lack of see-my-ass sheer panels.
    Score: win!

Diane Kruger can then give the floor-length to Diane KEATON, because, whoa.

I thought Swinton for the last gown.

But why are all the pants too long? Is this a fashionable look all of a sudden?

I could see my (very stylish) Mie-maw in most of this stuff. That certainly is lanai-wear. I had to ask “does no one in Italy have a waistline?”

Your comment on #17 is the nightmare I have about ever wearing a suit without at least a shell underneath. I would absolutely forget I’m not wearing a shirt and take off the jacket at the most inappropriate time.

I am in love with the sandals in coral, turquoise, etc. If only they weren’t ridic expensive (everything Gucci is ridic expensive), I’d be eying them for my wardrobe.

I like alot of these especially the colors and fabrics. They are not all for everyone but for someone? I LOVE the shoes.

I KNOW I’ve seen #10 on “The Love Boat,” worn by Captain Stubing’s daughter as she was getting “all grown up.” (Probably Julie the Cruise Director wore it too.)

Oooh, I think this stuff is prreeeeetty. Except the black — I’m with you there.

I find it highly amusing that the models wearing this soft, floaty, ruffly stuff all have severely slicked-back hair and bitchface.

I would totally wear #3. I don’t have a lanai. The best I could do is open the living room windows of my apartment and hope for a breeze. I’d swan down to the boutique grocery in t though.

Odds are even better that Chloe Sevigny wears the sister-wife blouse *with* the pants.

I can see boobs legsly in the last one – she loves her some deep cleav

Sigh. Must we go through yet another season of TROUSERS NOT BEING HEMMED APPROPRIATELY. I am thoroughly and officially jack of it. There is a very great danger that I will get arrested for taking scissors to the hems of strangers. Hopefully Fug Nation will start a charity to pay for my legal expenses…..

Loved the Coats!!! And, I would totally buy & wear Dresses #25 & #26… They’re FABULOUS! By the way, I just did the math and I haven’t done crunches in 17 years! That explains A LOT!

I love it when y’all poke a little fun at the Big Fashion Houses. This stuff is sort of beautiful and insane at the same time.

There really is nothing new under the sun, is there? My fellow superannuated Fug Nationals may remember long skinny collars and bell sleeves from the last time around, in the early 70s, wasn’t it? (though to be sure we were just wee lads and lasses back then …)

These outfits look like my Mum’s old dress patterns from the 1970s – or old photos of my Mum (if she didn’t have curly hair and never smiled again). One needs to be tall with fabulous legs to carry these off. Great colours and patterns though…

That’s exactly what I thought about #17–my mom had that pant suit circa 1971 or so.

How are we liking that Slumber Party Funeral dress? It would be convenient for when it’s a particularly depressing and exhausting funeral.

Awesome collection….a little 2 bright though.

I LOVE this color., so I’m happy this shade is still going to be showing up in the stores.

Catherine Zeta Jones for an unexpected #25 or Dianne Kruger.

Am I the only one totally not feeling this collection? Except for the colors, it’s a nightmare. Nice clothes are usually motivation to get to the gym, but this just makes me want to hang around the apartment in yoga pants, eating Checkerburgers.

True story: some rich, older Upper East Side lady spent about 10 minutes showing me her copy of WWD and gushing about the first outfit while my friend and I were trying to eat sushi at the next table. Awkward.

I think this entire collection is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. PLEASE- Emma, J.Lo and gang- go with another designer [except Stella McCartney].

The very first one, I say make it a mini and then watch Emma Stone, Diane Kruger, and Anne Hathaway fight over it. Most coltish fight ever. The green snakeprint one I would love to see on Chastain.

What sane person would wear the dresses with ruffled necklines? Talk about suffocating. They should put a warning on that tag!
